BRENTWOOD — Sat., July 18 will mark First Baptist Church’s 3rd annual Chicken BBQ, to be held at the church, 201 North Road.
The modest price of $12.50 per person will get you a great meal of barbecued chicken, with sides of potato salad, coleslaw, corn on the cob and beans, with beverages and a “make your own” ice cream sundae bar.
The big tent will be set up to shield diners from the sun or rain. Tables will be set apart to promote social distancing.
Following the meal, you will be entertained at our Concerts on the Lawn Summer Series by the Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki Trio.
Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki has entertained throughout New England and the entire Eastern seaboard, including performing at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
Regarded as one of the finest fiddlers around, Jordan and the Trio will provide a lively evening of traditional Celtic/Irish music.
The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. While there is no admission fee for the concert a Freewill Offering will be taken to offset the cost of the concert series.
The Concerts on the Lawn Summer Series will continue in August, with performances by Becky Riley and August 1st and Country Don Smith, who will wrap up the series on August 15.
All performances are open to the public and begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
