EXETER — The season is here to purchase your apple supplies to support deserving Exeter area students in furthering their education! Rotarians of Exeter will be at the Exeter Bandstand on Fri., September 25, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. selling apples, apple strudels, apple puffs, donuts and cider. This is a long-time standing, annual Apple Fundraiser, known as “Dollars for Scholars”, by the Exeter Rotary Club. All proceeds fund scholarships for Exeter High School, Seacoast School of Technology and Exeter Adult Education students.
Enthusiastic, friendly Exeter Rotarians will be standing in the parking area by the Exeter Bandstand to offer the various, tasty, apple treats for you to purchase. All the products are from St. Anthony’s Bakery on Water Street and local grower, Applecrest Orchards. These delicious, baked treats are made with real butter and traditional nutmeg and cinnamon spices. The apples are first crop Cortland and Macintosh varieties of Applecrest Orchards and are available in ½ pecks. The cider will be sold in pint and quart sizes.
Plan ahead to get your purchases and make a special trip by the Exeter Bandstand sometime during the day on Friday, the 25th of September to stock up on your apple needs and make a difference in a young person’s education at the same time.
