Both teams came out shooting as Village took a slim 15-14 lead, and continued their pace for for the 38-33 lead at the half. The undermanned Dunkin’ squad would not give in as they only trailed by three going into the final frame, 60-57, where Village finally wore them out for the 81-72 win. Jim Whitehouse led Village with 24 points with a lot of help from Matt Tulley with 23 points, Stan Lewis and Keith Therrien 10 points each, Gary Cebula 6 points, and Dave Goyette and Kevin Crump 4 points each. Dunkin’ was led by Ben Ruggles with 27 points followed by Jeff Steenson with 12 points, Terry Crump 11 points, Dick Danner 10 points, and Wayne Hamilton and Dave Youngblood with 6 points each. Village led in field goals, 34-24, while Dunkin’ had a 6-2 advantage in three-pointers. Dunkin’ hit 6 of 9 free throws for 67% while Village hit 7 of 16 for 44%.
