EXETER —Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics will host a special Spring Sports Physical Clinic on Mon., June 16, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at 1 Hampton Road in Exeter. All middle and high school students are required to have a pre-participation physical exam before competing in school sports. According to the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, a pre-participation sports physical exam is a necessary first-step toward sports injury prevention in youth athletes. Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics offers the sports physicals to area students of all grade levels.
The cost of the exam is $5.00 and all proceeds will be returned as a donation to many area school’s athletic programs. No appointments are necessary and athletes will be seen on a walk-in basis.
It is important to note that this physical exam should not replace an annual physical or check-up with a pediatrician or primary care physician.
Stay tuned for information about additional clinic dates to be held in late July and early August. For more information about Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics or the Sports Physical Clinics, call 603-775-7575, or visit www.accesssportsmed.com.
