---- — HAMPSTEAD – In the sixth week of play, the Meagher-less Century Copiers evened their record out by besting Atkinson Graphics 44-35. In a high-scoring affair and without their #1 draft pick Munro, Hampstead Center Market squeezed by a fully manned Esther’s E’s 61-59 to give both teams even records. In the final game, Captain Wlodyka-less Verizon Wireless remained dominant by squeaking by a fully-manned RAM Printing 47-44.



Century Esther’s was led by John Ganem with17 but dismal 3-6 from the line. Peter Sweet popped in 8 with perfect 2-2 from the line. Mike McConnell rammed in 6 on two 3’s but missed his free throw attempt, Bob Clark chipped in 4 with perfect 2-2 from the line, Bob Dudal also had 4 and missed his free throw, James Gardner added 3, Mike Rockwood 2 and great defense from Gary Sonnenscham.

Atkinson was led by Ron Buccini with 14, Don Bell rang in 12, Tom Ferrari drove in 7 but only 1-2 from the foul line, Kevin Bartolotta chipped in 2 and good hustle from Jerry Kamitian, Gerry Collins, and Kevin Stanton.


ESTHER’S E’S 59 (3-3)

Center Market was led by Joe Dzengeleski with a season high 21 but only 1-2 from the foul line. Billy Chasse scooted in 14 with very nice 6-8 from the line, Dave Goyette knocked in 7 but shot a pathetic 0-4 from the foul line, Rick Leuchte slipped in 6 but only 2-4 from the line, Howie Steadman added a season high 5 as did Dick Danner who shot a weak 1-3 from the line, and Chad Dresser added 3 but atrocious 1-4 from the line.

Esther’s was led by John Keisling with 15 and most excellent 5-6 from the line. Ben Ruggles willed in 14 including one 3 pointer, rookie Bob Ashe dumped in 13 including one 3 and perfect 2-2 from the line, rookie Doug Ahern slipped in 5 but inferior 3-6 from the line, rookie Paul Daly and Mike Pierce added 4 as did Ken Fure who missed both free throws. Bob Giordano provided good hustle in the loss.



Verizon was led by Craig Anderson with 18 including four 3’s. Jim Whitehouse popped in 10 including one 3 and nice 3-4 from the line, Bob Edwards also drilled in 10 but atrocious 2-5 from the line, Steve Derelick and Ray Wilburn both added 4, Paul Ramos made 1 of 4 free throws, and great defense from Dave Rowell.

RAM was led by Steve Ellis with 16 including two 3’s. Mike Koutelis popped in 6 on two 3’s, Gary Cebula also had 6 but weak 2-4 from the line, Mark Raumikaitis also added 6 but missed a free throw, Ross Huntington likewise had 6 with perfect 2-2 from the line, Anthony Serino scored two on perfect free throw shooting, and Dennis Faino also added 2.
