Girls on the Run

EXETER – Hundreds of girls and coaches will descend upon Portsmouth and Concord in early June for the Girls on the Run® Spring 5K Celebrations. The Portsmouth run starts at 9 a.m. on Sat., June 7, while the Concord run starts at 10:30 a.m., on Sun., June 8.

Two events are being held this spring due to rapid growth of the Girls on the Run program in New Hampshire. With a record 815 girls registered to participate on 58 teams around the state, this spring is the largest season to date.

Girls on the Run is a youth development program that combines an interactive curriculum and running to address the physical, emotional, mental and social well-being of pre-teen girls. Girls on the Run 5K events are open to the public.

Volunteers are needed to provide assistance with event-day logistics, registration, water stops, course assistance and more in both Portsmouth and Concord.
