Over-the-Hill League

HAMPSTEAD – At the halfway point of the season, Esther’s E’s dewired the previously unbeaten Whitehouse/Edwards-less Verizon Wireless 57-41. In a defensive struggle, Atkinson Graphics beat a short-handed Chasse/Danner-less Hampstead Center Market 37-29. In the final game, RAM Printing inked Century Copiers 46-36.

ESTHER’S E’S 57 (3-2)

VERIZON WIRELESS 41 (4-1)

Esther’s was led by big John Keisling with 18 including a three pointer but marginal 1-2 from the free throw line. Rookie Bob Ashe dumped in 12 with perfect 2-2 from the line, Ben Ruggles popped in 9 including two 3’s, rookie Paul Daly slipped in 6, rookie Doug Ahern, Ken Fure and Mike Pierce all added 4 each and great defense from Bob Giordano.

Verizon was led by timeless Craig Wlodyka with 16 including one 3 pointer and perfect 3-3 from the line. Craig Anderson popped in 15 including four 3’s but weak 1-2 from the line, Steve Drelick rammed in 4, Paul Ramos and Dave Rowell added 3, and Ray Milburn provided good hustle but missed both free throw attempts.

ATKINSON GRAPHICS 37 (2-3)

HAMPSTEAD CENTER MARKET 29 (2-3)

Atkinson was led by Sean Morrissey with 18 with 6 of those coming from nice 6-8 shooting from the line. Kevin Bartolotta slammed in 8, Ron Buccini popped in 6, Tom Ferrari added 3 but weak 1-2 from the line, Jerry Kamitian chipped in with 2 and excellent defense from Kevin Stanton and Jim White.

Center Market was led by bigman Dave Munro with 9, Joe Dzengeleski popped in 8 including two 3’s, Coffee Dave Goyette jammed in 6, Chad Dresser slipped in 4, and Rick Leuchte chipped in with 2.

RAM PRINTING 46 (3-2)

CENTURY COPIERS 36 (2-3)

RAM was once again led by Steve Ellis with 22 including three 3’s. Gary Cebula knocked in 6 but horrendous 2-6 from the line, Mike Koutelis dropped in 5 including one 3, Mark Raumikaitis popped in 4 with perfect 2-2 from the line, John Mayhew also added 4, Ross Huntington and Dennis Faino also chipped in with 2, Anthony Serino 1 and great defense from Keith Capulli.

Century was once again led by speedy Kevin Meagher with 11 but atrocious 1-4 from the line. John Ganem dropped in 9 but in an off night from the line only connected on 3 of 6 attempts, Bob Clark slipped in 6, as did Mike McConnell including one 3 but weak 1-2 from the line, Mike Rockwood popped in 4 and good hustle from Peter Sweet, Gary Sonnenscham and Bob Dudal.
