Over - the - Hill League

HAMPSTEAD – In the second game of the season, rookie captain Bob Giordano kept his Esther’s E’s team on the winning track by soundly defeating captain Jerry Kamitian’s Bell-less and winless Atkinson Graphics 50-32. Rookie captain Dick Danner got his Hampstead Center Market team in the win column by breezing past an Ellis and Serino-less and also winless Ram Printing 54-32. In the final game,captain Craig Wlodyka became the only other undefeated team when his Verizon Wireless team beat the fully manned Century Copiers 58-45.

ESTHER’S E’S 50 (2-0)

ATKINSON GRAPHICS 32 (0-2)

Esther’s was led by big John Keisling with 16 with a perfect 2-2 from the line. Ben Ruggles popped in 12, rookie Doug Ahern 10, rookie Bob Ashe added 7, rookie Paul Daly 4, Ken Fure 1 and great defense from Bob Giordano.

Atkinson was once again led by Sean Morrissey with 12, Tom Ferrari slipped in 7, Kevin Bartolotta added 6, Rob Buccini 4, Gerry Collins 3 on a 3-pointer, and good hustle from Kevin Stanton, Jim White and Jerry Kamitian.

HAMPSTEAD CENTER MARKET 54 (1-1)

RAM PRINTING 32 (0-2)

Center Market was once again led by Dave Munro with 14 with perfect 4-4 from the line. Dick Danner slipped in 13, Dave Goyette rammed in 10, Joe Dzengeleski added 7, Chad Dresser and Billy Chasse 4, Rick Leuchte 2 and great defense by Howie Steadman.

Ram was led by big Mark Raumikaitis with 11, Ross Huntington and John Mayhew added 6, Mike Kouteklis 5, Gary Cebula 4 and good hustle from Dennis Faino and Keith Capulli.

VERIZON WIRELESS 58 (2-0)

CENTURY COPIERS 45 (1-1)

Verizon was led by Bob Edwards with 14. Jim Whitehouse popped in 13 but atrocious 3-7 from the line. Big Paul Ramos slipped in 12 with perfect 2-2 from the line, Craig Anderson added 10 including two-3’s, Craig Wlodyka added 9 with all points coming on 9-11 free throw shooting, and great defense from Dave Rowell.

Century was led by John Ganem with17, Bob Clark slipped in 9 with nice 3-4 from the line, Kevin Meagher added 7, Gary Sonnenscham 5, Bob Dudal 4 but missed both free throws, Peter Sweet 2, Mike McConnell 1 and good hustle from Mike Rockwood and James Gardner.
