---- — HAMPSTEAD — In the first round of single elimination playoffs, third seed Atkinson Graphics disconnected the last seed Whearty-less Small World Wireless 59-46. Next week, Atkinson will play 2nd seed Hampstead Center Market. Fourth seed United Business Machines (UBM) shut down the Wojo-less 5th seed Century Copiers 43-35 and UBM will face top ranked RAM Printing next week.

ATKINSON GRAPHICS 59 (7-3)

SMALL WORLD WIRELESS 46 (1-9)

Atkinson was led by Ron Buccini with 16. Tom Ferrari scored a season high 15 including perfect 3-3 from the line, Bob Edwards slipped in 12, Sean Morrissey in limited minutes hit for 4 including perfect 2-2 from the line, John Mayhew and Kevin Stanton both added 4, Jerry Kamitian and Bob Giordano both added 2.

Small World was led by speedster Bill Chasse with 17 including one 3 pointer but missed both free throw attempts. Chad Dresser dropped in 9, Dave Youngblood popped in 8 but also missed both free throws, rookie John Boutin slipped in 6 but dismal 2-4 from the line, Rick Leuchte squeaked in 4 and Gerry Collins 2.

UBM 43 (3-7)

CENTURY COPIERS 35 (3-7)

UBM was once again led by Kent Anson with 19 including one three and real nice 6-7 from the line. John Ganem slammed in 9 as did Bob Clark and Bob had nice 3-4 from the line, Gary Sonnenscham popped in 4 including one 3 pointer, Peter Sweet slipped in 2 but missed both free throws, and superior defense by Ken Fure, James Gardner, Dana Knowles and Howie Steadman.

Century was led by Ross Huntington with 12 including two 3’s. Rich Wells popped in 10, Ray Wilburn slipped in 6, John Keisling hit one 3 pointer, Mike Koutelis and Frank Clemente added 2 and good hustle by rookie Kevin Bartolotta.
