Baseball Sign-ups

HAMPSTEAD — Hampstead will hold sign-ups for the 2010 t-ball, baseball, and softball seasons on Sat., February 5, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Wed., February 9, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., and Sat., February 12, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Registration will be held at the Hampstead Civic Club building next to the Hampstead Town Hall. Visit the HASB website www.eteamz.com/hasb for the registration fees, league descriptions, and other important dates and information.

HASB provides the opportunity for all youngsters living in the town of Hampstead between the ages of 5 and 16 to participate in an organized baseball and softball program. The T-Ball league is open to both boys and girls ages 5-6 and begins in late April and concludes in June. Girls softball consist of 4 leagues; Farm (ages 7-8), Minor (ages 9-10), Major (ages 11-12), and Senior (ages 13-16). Boys baseball consist of 4 leagues; Farm (ages 7-8), Triple A (ages 9-10), Minor/Majors (ages 9-12), and Babe Ruth (ages 13-15).

    Sandown, NH — Jo Ann (Phelps) Hughes of Sandown, New Hampshire passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014, surrounded by all of her children at home. She was born in Little Bend Kentucky, to Beatrice (Shepherd) Phelps and John (Cat) Phelps in 1934. Jo Ann was predeceased by brothers, Marcus Phelps, Johnny Phelps, Forrest Phelps and sisters, Juanita Phelps, and Jeanette (Phelps) Vincent. She is survived by brother, Donald Quiggins of Georgia; sisters, Geneva (Phelps) Stanley of Kentucky, and Frances (Phelps) Bratcher of Tennessee who had just visited Jo Ann in September of 2013.
