Basketball Programs

EXETER — Exeter Parks and Recreation announces its 2013 recreational Basketball programs for grades K-6.

Little Shooters Youth Pre-K Basketball: This program is designed to introduce children the fundamentals of basketball and will include drills and free-play. Pre-K will play at the MSS gym Saturday mornings.

3-on-3 Coed Youth Basketball Grades K-2: This program is designed for students to learn the fundamentals with a 3-on-3 format

to open up the floor for individual development. Kindergarten will play at LSS gym on Saturday mornings, 8:30 or 9:30 a.m.,

with 30-minute practice followed by 30-minute scrimmage. Grades 1-2 will also play at LSS gym one day Mon.-Thurs., 6:00-7:15

p.m.

5-on-5 Coed Youth Basketball Grades 3-6: Games will be played on Saturdays, at LSS or Talbot gym, with 1 practice per week,

6 or 7PM, pending coaches’ schedules.

Registrations are due Fri., November 16.

Exeter Parks & Recreation Department is also accepting registrations for the following programs: Men’s 30+ Thursday Basketball,

Coyote Club, Karate Sanchin-Ryu, Yoga for Children & Adults! Registration forms for all programs are available in the lobby

of our office or on online at http://town.exeter.nh.us/rec. Details of each program are provided on the registration forms.

  • Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown, 66

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
