College Fair

ANDOVER, MA — Phillips Academy will host its annual College Fair on Mon., April 29, from 5:00—7:00 p.m. in the Case Memorial Cage, 5 Highland Road, on the Phillips Academy campus. Area students and parents are invited to attend and meet representatives from more than 140 colleges and universities from around the world.

The fair offers high school students and their families an ideal opportunity to familiarize themselves with a wide range of colleges and universities. Representatives from participating institutions will be available to answer individual questions and to distribute informational literature about their schools. Admission is free.

Among the colleges and universities scheduled to attend the fair are Amherst, Babson, Bates, Boston University, Bryant, Colby, Columbia College of Chicago, Dickinson, Duke, Elon, Lafayette, University of Massachusetts/Amherst, Boston and Lowell, Mount Holyoke, Ohio State, Rice, Skidmore, Smith, St. Olaf, Tulane, Vassar, Wellesley, Whitman, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. International based schools include NYU in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, St. Andrews in Scotland, Trinity College Dublin, University of Limerick and The American University of Rome and Paris.

  •  Successful Conservation Collaboration

    On June 17, the sophomore class of Sanborn Regional High School made a field trip to the Old Frye Town Forest, one of Kingston's five town forests, to assist the Kingston Conservation Commission in the removal of invasive plants from the area near the trailhead, notably, an extensive and aggressive patch of Japanese knotweed. This project was the culmination of the school's third year of intra-curricular collaboration with the Commission to address local environmental issues, and to make conservation an area of study and research. Congratulations from the Commission to the teachers and students for a job well done!

  • Volunteer of the Year

    Atkinson Academy Elementary School has named its Volunteer of the Year for 2014. Timberlane Regional High School graduate Ashley Higham, right, received the award from teacher Meredith Bastien, pictured left. Ashley volunteered her services three days a week for two hours in 5-K Intensive Needs classes during the school year.
