SRHS Booster News

KINGSTON - The winter sport season is about to begin at Sanborn Regional High School (SRHS). Get ready to come out and cheer for your favorite athlete!

The Boosters will be offering Family Passes again this year for admission to the Boys and Girls Home Basketball games. Family passes are $40.00 for the season for admission to all of the games. The cost for admission per game for adults is $3.00, Senior Citizens are $2.00, Students are $1.00, current Sanborn Regional High School Students with a valid Sanborn ID are free of charge, and under children under the age of 12 are free.

The Boosters will run a “concession stand” at the entrance to the gym at home games. Do you have an athlete participating this season? Can you help them out for 1 or 2 games? Please let them know by emailing Boosters President Sheila Pierce at bilkm@aol.com or just stop by. The Boosters are in need of volunteers-please help them out!

  •  Successful Conservation Collaboration

    On June 17, the sophomore class of Sanborn Regional High School made a field trip to the Old Frye Town Forest, one of Kingston's five town forests, to assist the Kingston Conservation Commission in the removal of invasive plants from the area near the trailhead, notably, an extensive and aggressive patch of Japanese knotweed. This project was the culmination of the school's third year of intra-curricular collaboration with the Commission to address local environmental issues, and to make conservation an area of study and research. Congratulations from the Commission to the teachers and students for a job well done!

  • Volunteer of the Year

    Atkinson Academy Elementary School has named its Volunteer of the Year for 2014. Timberlane Regional High School graduate Ashley Higham, right, received the award from teacher Meredith Bastien, pictured left. Ashley volunteered her services three days a week for two hours in 5-K Intensive Needs classes during the school year.
