---- — The following local students have been recognized on the Dean’s List at Norwich University for the spring 2013 semester: Jordan Thomas McCarthy of East Kingston; Zachary Raymond Arnold of Epping; Sean Patrick McCormack of Epping; Daniel Nathan White of Exeter; Nicholas Peter Losapio of Kensington; and Michael Thomas Cavanaugh of Raymond.

Unitil Corporation, (www.unitil.com), a provider of natural gas and electricity to customers in New England, is proud to announce Daniel Okuniewicz, Jr. of Newton is a 2013 recipient of the Unitil Scholarship Fund. Daniel is a graduate of Sanborn Regional High School and plans to study Electrical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Margaret Noonan of Exeter, a member of the Class of 2013, graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon during the school’s 130th commencement exercises on May 26. NMH is a coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 and a postgraduate year.

Unity College has announced the following local students have been named to the Honor’s List for the spring 2013 semester: James Kirk ‘16, Conservation Law Enforcement major from Hampstead, and graduate of Pinkerton Academy and Marina Theberge ‘15, Agriculture, Food, and Sustainability major from Atkinson, and graduate of Timberlane Regional High School.

Jennessa Agnew of Atkinson, has earned Dean’s List status for the 2013 Spring semester at Lasell College. A member of the Class of 2015 Agnew is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Austin Preparatory School in Reading, Mass., presented academic and arts honors to middle school students during a special ceremony on June 6. Seventh-grader Mackenzie Driscoll of South Hampton received a Bronze Medal (90%) in the National Mythology Exam, one of only 1,400 students across the country to achieve this ranking. Seventh-grader Maura Smith of Atkinson received a Silver Medal (95%) in the National Mythology Exam, one of only 1,500 students across the country to achieve this ranking. Eighth-grader Nicholas Marchetti of Plaistow received the 2013 Perfect Attendance Award.

Students from the DeClerck Gallery in Plaistow, each donated a work of art to a very special Art Show. A wide variety of oil paintings, watercolors, pastels and graphite drawings were donated by the students to be sold at the art show with all the proceeds to support a well for “Kulea Villages”.

Michaela K. Horvath of Nottingham has been named to the spring semester Dean’s List at Radford University. Horvath is a sophomore foreign languages and literatures and psychology major.

University of Connecticut recently announced the students who attained the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester. Local students honored include: Emily Bergan of Exeter, Stephanie Brady of Newmarket, and Alexander Reardon of Raymond. University of Connecticut has also announced the following local students were graduated in December 2012, May 2013, and August 2013: Bryan Connors of Newton, Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Eric Sands of Newton, Bachelor of Science in Engineering; and Jessica Marx of South Hampton, Bachelor of Science.

On June 17 in the field located behind Sparhawk High School in Amesbury, MA, 17 year-old Jacob Rabideau of Plaistow, piloted a helicopter to his high school graduation ceremony. Accompanied by his flight instructor, Mike Holland from North Andover Flight Academy, Jake, who started taking helicopter lessons at the age of 12 and has completed multiple solo flights, and is one of the few high school students to ever make such an entrance and exit to a graduation ceremony. “It’s a unique experience. I have to thank Sparhawk for letting me do this,” says Rabideau. Jake plans on attending Daniel Webster College of Nashua, in the fall to study aeronautical engineering.

Ryan Glowacky of Brentwood and Heather Fuller of Plaistow received a Bachelor of Science degrees from Framingham State University on May 19.

Maine Maritime Academy recently graduated more than 200 students, many of whom were placed on the college’s Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement in the second semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Local students honored include: Ashley Burnett, a Marine Science major from Danville; Daris Kenter, a Marine Science major from Kingston; and Alexander Toth, a Marine Systems Engineering major from Sandown.

Bentley University has announced Clara Campbell of Brentwood and John Barnes of Raymond have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester.

Emily Rose Moran of East Hampstead has been named to the Dean’s List at Radford University for the spring 2013 semester.

Endicott College is pleased to announce the Dean’s List students for

spring 2013 semester. Local students honored include: Shayne Robert Lockard, son of Brian and Julie Lockard of Danville, Computer Science; Stephanie Markarian, daughter of Martin and Lauren Markarian of Danville, Nursing; and Victoria Lee O’Meara,daughter of Stephen and Sandra O’Meara of Plaistow, Liberal Studies/Education.
