One-Room Schools

— Kensington Historical Society will host a program from the New Hampshire Humanities to Go on Sun., October 14. The program is titled, "New Hampshire One-Room Rural Schools", and will be presented by Steve Taylor at the Brick (North School) on Rte 150 in Kensington. You are invited to come at 12:30 p.m. and bring you lunch to school where you can sit and eat in the old desks as did the children until the early 1950's. This will give you a chance to look around the building and at some old pictures prior to the program. The Program will start at 1:30 p.m.

Steve Taylor lives on his farm in the area of Plainfield. He was the former Commissioner of Agriculture under several Governors and has done presentations for us in the past as a presenter under the New Hampshire Humanities Council. This should be an enjoyable Sunday afternoon for the family.

Please remember that there are no facilities at the Old School.
