Campus Tour

DOVER — Portsmouth Christian Academy is now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year. There is an informational breakfast meeting and campus tour scheduled for parents interested in preschool through grade 12 on Sat., July 13 at 8:30 a.m. and Thurs., July 18 at 7:30 a.m. at 20 Seaborne Drive.

The Head of School, the Academic Dean, and the Upper School Principal will give a presentation about the Academy. The purpose of the informational breakfast meeting is to acquaint interested families with the many opportunities available at Portsmouth Christian Academy.

Portsmouth Christian Academy has an enrollment of approximately 600 students from New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts, making PCA the largest independent Christian school in New England.

Applicants must exhibit a strong desire to learn, a record of academic achievement and a strong moral character. PCA has a selective admission process, low student-teacher ratio and before and after school programs. Tuition assistance is available.

  •  Successful Conservation Collaboration

    On June 17, the sophomore class of Sanborn Regional High School made a field trip to the Old Frye Town Forest, one of Kingston's five town forests, to assist the Kingston Conservation Commission in the removal of invasive plants from the area near the trailhead, notably, an extensive and aggressive patch of Japanese knotweed. This project was the culmination of the school's third year of intra-curricular collaboration with the Commission to address local environmental issues, and to make conservation an area of study and research. Congratulations from the Commission to the teachers and students for a job well done!

  • Volunteer of the Year

    Atkinson Academy Elementary School has named its Volunteer of the Year for 2014. Timberlane Regional High School graduate Ashley Higham, right, received the award from teacher Meredith Bastien, pictured left. Ashley volunteered her services three days a week for two hours in 5-K Intensive Needs classes during the school year.
