---- — MANCHESTER —The Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications will present “The Constitution for Teachers,” a half-day workshop to examine the document that is the primary law of the land. The workshop will be held on Wed., August 7, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the school in Manchester. The program is designed to provide curriculum ideas and discussion points for teachers and school media advisers.

The workshop will be led by Attorney Gregory V. Sullivan, who has argued before the New Hampshire Supreme Court in several landmark First Amendment and public access cases. Attorney Sullivan will explore the Bill of Rights and the five freedoms of the First Amendment as well as how the three branches of the federal government interact with each other, with the states and with the Constitutional rights of Americans.

The session is supported by New Hampshire’s Constitution Day essay program, which includes nine newspapers. It will provide teachers with information for general studies on the Constitution and include discussion about next fall’s statewide Constitution Day essay contest question.
