Book Fair

NEWTON — The PTO of Memorial School of Newton, cordially invites you to come to a holiday Scholastic Book Fair. The entire community, parents, children and teachers are welcome to attend. The Memorial School 2012 Scholastic Book Fair, “All Star Book Fair – Every Reader is a Star!” has the whole school excited. The Fair will be held Thurs., December 6 through Thurs., December 13, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Students will be visiting the Book Fair during the day and will bring home their wish list for payment in the envelope provided. Checks should be made out to Memorial School for any books purchased.

Also the book fair is open during the evenings of the Parent Teacher Conferences on Mon., December 10, from 3:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and Thurs., December 13, from 3:30–6:30 p.m. Adults are welcome to shop with credit cards on the evening schedule only. Buy a book for the holidays, and encourage your child’s literacy and help the Library raise funds!

The money from this Fair supports the Library Virtual Learning Commons, purchase of essential materials for the children and teachers’ library here at the Memorial School. You can visit the Library Virtual Learning Commons at https://sites.google.com/a/sau17.net/library-googleapps-site/.

Classrooms can also take this opportunity to build their classroom libraries. The Scholastic Book Fair offers the most popular books and educational products for all ages, including the newest titles, award-winners, classics, references and interactive products from more than 150 publishers.
