Students Celebrate Giving

Students in Grades One and Two at Hampstead Academy have been busy little elves during this holiday season. In anticipation of the Hampstead Academy Holiday Store, the children worked at home doing chores throughout November and December in order to earn shopping money for gifts.

The children were delighted to choose gifts for their families as a reward for all their hard work, but were even more pleased to know that the funds they raised would go to a good cause. The children decided that the money raised at their store should go to St. Anne’s Food Pantry in Hampstead. The children donated over $200.00 to the food pantry.

“As of September 1, 2006 those persons residing in the towns of Atkinson, Danville, East Hampstead, Hampstead, and Sandown, as well as those registered as parishioners with Saint Anne Parish, participating sponsoring parishes or specifically referred to the Saint Anne Ecumenical Food Pantry by the pastoral leadership of the faith communities or social service agencies of the above mentioned towns will be eligible to participate in the Food Pantry.  Clients do not have to have any particular religious affiliation.  Every effort will be made to direct families from ineligible communities to pantries in their immediate area.”  (saintannechurchnh.org)
