Turkey Raffle - To offset the ever-rising price of their Washington, DC trip, EMS eight graders will be raffling off five turkey dinners “with all the fixin’s”. Each meal includes: a 20-25 pound turkey, potatoes, squash, stuffing, rolls or roll mix, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, gravy, mixed nuts, and homemade pies from the Iron Chef class.

All items are donated by EMS faculty and staff, allowing each student to use all the money he/she collects from ticket sales, to go directly to offsetting the price of the trip. Tickets are $1.00 apiece or six for $5.00. Tickets will be sold through November 22, the day of the drawing.

  • Successful Conservation Collaboration

On June 17, the sophomore class of Sanborn Regional High School made a field trip to the Old Frye Town Forest, one of Kingston's five town forests, to assist the Kingston Conservation Commission in the removal of invasive plants from the area near the trailhead, notably, an extensive and aggressive patch of Japanese knotweed. This project was the culmination of the school's third year of intra-curricular collaboration with the Commission to address local environmental issues, and to make conservation an area of study and research. Congratulations from the Commission to the teachers and students for a job well done!
