---- — NEW HAMPSHIRE —Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, and franchisees from New Hampshire Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants continue to demonstrate their commitment to the community by offering $30,000 in college scholarships to eleven deserving New Hampshire students. This is the 19th year that Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees have awarded scholarships to local students who embody the mission to help those that serve others. Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees have given more than $430,000 to New Hampshire students to date.

The scholarship program is open to any qualified New Hampshire student and special consideration will be given to students interested in pursuing careers in business, hospitality or food service industries. Scholarship applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Recipients will be chosen based on merit and financial need. Students with a grade point average of at least 3.25 and who demonstrate substantial volunteer or community service are given preference for funding. Other merit factors that will be evaluated include involvement in school activities and work experience. The deadline to apply is April 15.

In 2014, ten scholarships, each in the amount of $2,500, will be awarded to high school seniors throughout New Hampshire who are enrolling full-time at a post-secondary institution —whether at a four-year, two-year or community technical school. In addition, one $5,000 award will be made to a student enrolling in the Peter T. Paul College of Business & Economics (formerly Whittemore School) at the University of New Hampshire.

Awards will be announced by the end of April. Recipients and their parents will be invited by Dunkin’ Donuts to attend a special event to honor their achievements in June at WMUR in Manchester. For more information on how to apply, visit www.dunkindonuts.com/scholarship.
