Holiday Acts of Kindness

The children from Hampstead Village Preschool Kindergarten class worked extra hard this Christmas season bringing lots of joy to people less fortunate. They began their Acts of Kindness with the Military Christmas program. The children made gift bags, ornaments, Hero medals, cards, and a sweet nut mix for eight military personnel stationed away from home this Christmas. In addition, donations from families of snacks, puzzle books and other goodies were added to each package. They also send each soldier a Flat Stanley...maybe he will come back with pictures of their adventures!

Then, they put together five Shoeboxes from Santa to be sent to NJ for people devastated by Superstorm Sandy. The children worked together to decorate and then filled them with various items.

Their last Act of Kindness in December was creating beautiful glittery snowflakes to be sent to Newtown, CT, to brighten up the new school they will be opening. The Kindergarteners worked hard to create snowflakes of joy, happiness and healing.

Nice job spreading happiness....Braydon, Camden, Elyse, Joseph, Matthew, Mikayla, Ryan, and Savanah!
