Bluegrass Concert

STRATHAM – Mark your calendars for Sun., July 8, at 6:00 p.m., when Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys take to the David C. Noyes Stage at Stratham Hill Park. This is New England bluegrass at its best.

Since the 1970s, Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys have consistently delivered some of the finest, most dynamic and most original bluegrass music ever heard in this corner of the country. With countless performances under their belts and an extensive catalog of acclaimed recordings, the Plowboys have developed strong name recognition, a large fanbase, and a reputation as top-notch entertainers. It’s a reputation built on soulful lead singing, spot-on harmonies, fiery picking and a stage show full of energy, variety and humor.

The concert is part of the 2007 Summer Music Series presented by Stratham Recreation Department and sponsored by the folks at FPL Energy Seabrook Station.

The Summer Music Series continues on August 5 when local favorite, Truffle with Dave Gerard will rock the park. A compelling combination of R&B, soul, blues, and bluegrass, Truffle has played with the likes of such artists as Phish and the Dave Mathews Band. The show will begin at 6 pm.

The concerts are open to the public. Donations are welcome and encouraged. A food concession will be available at the park. So, grab your blankets, lawn chairs, and dancing shoes, and join us for another season of great music at Stratham Hill Park.
