The Senate race in District 23 (the towns of Brentwood, Chester, Danville, East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Fremont, Kingston, and Sandown) will present voters a clear choice when they go to the polls on November 6. In voting for Carol Croteau, they will get a Senator who will devote one-hundred percent of her time serving her communities; who will be focused fully on the legislation at hand and on the work of her committees; and, who will be available to her constituents. As a native of this state, she understands the New Hampshire Advantage and will fight to preserve it.

I met Carol Croteau three years ago when she approached me about updating NH’s Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention Law. She was the founder of Bully Free NH and was advocating for changes in the state education law meant to protect public school students from bullying by holding schools accountable for their learning environments.

Ms. Croteau is a tireless worker, a clear thinker and communicator, and someone who does her homework. Croteau will not be influenced by outside interests or agendas. As a native of our great state, she understands well our history of making our own decisions, of being fiscally conservative while providing a system of safety nets, and of keeping government out of our private lives. She will draw her own conclusions based on information, not on political expediency.

As a Democrat she trusts women with their own healthcare decisions, believes public money should be directed to public, not private, schools, and is against giving tax breaks (such as the lowering of the cigarette tax that was done in the last budget) over fixing unsafe roads and bridges.

I ask that you join me in voting for Carol Croteau in November.

Rep. Donna Schlachman
