Josephine H. McCoy, 78

Josephine "Jo" H. McCoy, 78, died February 9, 2012 in the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH after battling the late stages of pancreatic cancer.     

She was born December 11, 1933 in Portsmouth, NH, daughter of the late Frank and Josie (Brown) Smith. Jo grew up in N. Hampton, N.H. and was a graduate of the Hampton Academy. She had been a resident of Raymond for the past 50+ years. Jo was dispatcher in Raymond, she managed the Red Phone from her house for the Raymond Ambulance, Fire, and Police Departments.

Jo was also later employed as a dispatcher by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Department for over 10 years. She retired from dispatching only to get into the family business, as the Property Manager for the Tall Pines Property Management Co.  Through the years, she was given several awards and acknowledgments for her extraordinary ability of the handling of difficult emergency phone situations.

     Mrs. McCoy was a life member of the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Association. She served as their secretary for 25 years.      Jo adored living at the farm on Long Hill Rd. and taking care of her animals.     

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Paul McCoy of Raymond, NH, her son, John Harney Jr. of Lexington, VA., 2 sisters, Joyce Jensen of Greenland, N.H. and Nancy Moaratty of Hampton, N.H., 2 brother-in-laws, Harold McCoy of Stratham, N.H., and Bill McCoy of Clarks Summit, PA., a sister-in-law, Carolyn Allard of Lakeside, MI., and many nieces and nephews.     

ARRANGEMENTS: There are no calling hours.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Raymond Baptist Church, 145 Rt. 27, Raymond, NH.      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Association, Scholarship Fund, 101 North Rd., Brentwood, NH 03833, or the S.P.C.A., PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.     To sign the on line guest book, please visit www.brewittfuneralhome.com

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
