Robert L. Joyner, Jr., 49

Danville, NH — Robert L. Joyner, Jr., age 49, of Danville, NH, formerly of Rollinsford, died Friday, October 19, 2012, in Mason City, Iowa.

He was born in Pennsacola, FL and as the son of a U. S. Navy Chief Petty Officer, he traveled and was educated all over the United States and Europe. He graduated high school in Presque Isle, Maine and served as a Petty Officer, third class, with the U. S. Navy Seabees. After his discharge from the Navy in 1985, he first worked as the manager of the Midas Muffler Shops in Rochester and Seabrook, NH until 1996, and later became an independent franchise owner for the Snap-On Tool Company, servicing the greater Lawrence, MA area and was presently serving on the National Franchise Advisory Council.

Mr. Joyner was a member of the American Legion of Rollinsford, NH and enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Susan (Knock) Joyner; a son, Robert L. Joyner, III and his wife, Jessica of Danville; a daughter, Kristin K. Desrochers and her husband, Justin of Haverhill, MA; his parents, U. S. Navy Retired Chief Petty Officer Robert L. and Lucy Joyner of Sandown, NH; a stepson, Jesse J. Grant and Heather Spofford of Epping; a brother, Steven L. Joyner of Irving, PA; a sister, Regine L. Roberts of California, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jesse J. Grant, II and Alexsa D. Joyner; his maternal grandmother, Anna (Thomas) Arnold of Frog Level, VA and his paternal grandmother, Anne V. (Vellines) Joyner of Richmond, VA and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, October 25, 2012, from 5 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., (Plaistow Village), Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 10 AM in the funeral home with military honors following the service.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
