Reginald E. Adrien

EPPING – Reginald “Reggie” E. Adrien, 90 passed away Fri., November 13, at the Elmhurst Nursing Home in Melrose, MA.

Born in Lynn, MA, on July 6, 1919 to the late Edmund and Marion (Champagne) Adrien, he graduated from Lynn English High. He worked as a machinist at the GE Plant in Lynn for several years until retirement.

Reggie had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile. He enjoyed outdoor activities including boating and swimming, riding his lawn mower, one of his bikes or just going for a ride in his sporty car. During the nice weather he’d sit in the yard or on his porch so his neighbors at Pine & Pond would stop by and spend time. The children loved visiting with him as he always had a new toy to entertain them with and something sweet to share. He loved to dance and was known as a “sharp dresser”. Reggie’s pastimes were watching the Patriots and shopping. His collections included watches, lighthouses, miniature cars, flashlights and pens.

A very giving person, Reggie sponsored a young man in Honduras, and made contributions to several charities. He was a member of the K of C of Epping, worshipped at St. Joseph’s Parish and helped with their events. Over the years he participated in the Pine & Pond Association and at one time was their President.

Reggie was the husband of Agnes (Wright) Adrien, the late Francis Adrien, and the late Thelma (Sweeney) Adrien. He is survived by daughter Donna Goggin and her husband Robert, son Keith Adrien and his wife Sharon, son Ronald Adrien and his wife Nancy, step-son Clement Wright and his wife Kathy, step-daughter Betty Chestnut and her husband Vince, several grandchildren, great grandchildren , relatives and friends. “Stay alert and don’t get hurt”

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Parish on Sat., November 28, at 1:00 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children’s Tumor Fund, 95 Pine St. 16th Floor, NY, NY 10005 See web site for more info: www.ctf.org.
