Stanley L. Towle, 66

Kingston, NH — Stanley L. Towle, 66, died peacefully on Monday afternoon, January 27, 2014, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Rochester, Stan was the son of Stanley and Ruby (Hanchett) Towle. He graduated from Farmington High School, and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston before entering the Army Reserves.

After working for NYNEX/Bell Atlantic for over 30 years, he retired in 2000. After retirement, he was employed at various jobs to keep busy. He was a longtime member of Elks Lodge #184 and Moses Paul Masonic Lodge #96, both in Dover, and Bektash Shriners in Concord.

Despite being a lifelong New Englander, he was a die-hard NY sports fan. Stan took pride in his landscaped yard, was an avid non-fiction reader, steam train aficionado, and a pack rat! He was a much adored "Bumpa" to his grandsons.

Stan is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Judy (Vincent) Towle; daughter, Lisa Cartwright and her husband, David; grandsons, Robbie and Matthew, all of Plaistow; two sisters, Suzanne (Towle) Manson and her husband, Robert, of Rochester, and Karen Towle of Exeter; several nieces and nephews and 3 much adored kitties.
