William Scholes, 70

Dateline-Fremont, NH

William "Bill" G. Scholes, 70, died April 1, 2012 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH after a brief illness. He was born March 18, 1942 in Providence, RI, son of the late Jack and Nellie (South) Scholes.

Bill was an only child and grew up in Pawtucket, RI. He enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and served 4 years from 1959-1963. He later received his Associates degree in Electrical Engineering from DeVry Institute. In 1967, he married Kathleen "Kate" Froning. After briefly living in Chicago, IL and Redbank, NJ, Bill and Kate settled in Raymond, NH in 1972 to begin raising their family. Since 1987 they have lived in Fremont NH.

Bill was an electrical engineer for Bell Laboratories in N. Andover, MA, for 20 years retiring in 1987. From 1987-1999, he worked in various capacities with his wife and family at the Provider Enterprises, Inc. Bill loved the mountains and was considered a renowned conversationalist by the local town folks at his most frequently visited favorite eateries, Bessie's and Poplin Café. His family fondly referred to him as a "Professional man of leisure".

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Kate Scholes of Fremont, NH, daughter, Jodi Scholes of Reston, VA, son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Elisabeth Scholes of Kittery Point, ME., son and daughter-in-law, Jack Scholes and Amy Byrne-Scholes of Fremont, NH, son and daughter-in-law, John Scholes and Stefanie Adams-Scholes of Waltham, MA., daughter, Jennifer Scholes of Fremont, NH, son, Paul Bubelnyk of Fremont, NH, son, Jeff Bubelnyk, 3 grandchildren, Ava, Will and Clement Scholes.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours and funeral services with military honors were held at the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter, NH.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
