DERRY — Dorothy (Stepasuik) Fitzgerald, 87, of Derry, passed away peacefully, after a long illness on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Derry, with her family members by her side.
She was born Jan, 1924 in Boston, daughter of the late Walter and Anne Stepasuik. She worked at Hampstead Central School as a custodian, before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed country music, collecting and restoring antiques and most importantly spending time with her family. She deeply loved of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her dedicated and loving husband of 64 years, Benjamin M. Fitzgerald of Hampstead and daughters, Nancy Brustin and husband Edward of Bow, Va., Black and husband Frederick of Sandown, Kathleen Turner and husband Ronald of Hampstead, Patricia Fitzgerald and partner David Tebo of St. Albans, Maine; and son, Benjamin Fitzgerald, Jr. and wife Laura of Hampton; grandchildren, Christopher Black, Mathew Turner, Kimberly Brady, Samantha Brustin, Olivia and Tyler Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Christopher Black, Elise and Lochlann Brady and Ryan Turner. She was predeceased by grandson, Sean Francis.
