Winnifred A. Blaine

Tallahassee, FL — Winnifred A. (Brickett) Blaine, 88, formerly of Hampstead, N.H., and the wife of the late Henry S. Blaine, passed away on May 15, 2013.

Born in Hampstead on July 30, 1924, Mrs. Blaine was the daughter of the late William R. and Blanche L. (Huston) Brickett.

Mrs. Blaine graduated from Hampstead High School, Class of 1942, and continued her education at Burdett Business School in Boston, Mass. She worked for several years as a secretary for various civil service agencies, and retired in 1988, following eight years of service at the Orlando Naval Training Center. Mrs. Blaine was a former member of the Hampstead Congregational Church. In 1973, she and her husband moved to Winter Park, Fla., where she joined the Winter Park Presbyterian Church. She moved to Westminster Oaks Retirement Community in Tallahassee in 2002.

Mrs. Blaine is survived by her children, William Blaine and wife, Ellen Mulligan, of Gilford, N.H.; Quentin Blaine and his wife, Marcia Schmidt, of Plymouth, N.H., Sandra Blaine and husband, Dave Dawe, of Santa Rosa, Calif., John Blaine and wife, Laurel Somero, of New Ipswich, N.H., Edwin Blaine and wife, Martha Torio, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Mary Blaine Eichin and husband, Kurt Eichin, of Tallahassee; Fla.; Dee Blaine, wife of her late stepson Harry C. Blaine; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Husband of Del City, Okla., and June Parker of Hudson, N.H.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Hampstead Congregational Church on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at West Hampstead Cemetery.     Bar Harbor, ME — Francis M. Lurvey passed away Sunday, June 22, in Bar Harbor, Maine, after battling cancer. By his side were his sons, Edwin Lurvey and Steven Lurvey and his niece and husband, Debra and Richard Carey, as well as cousin, Marion McDonald. He was the son of Edwin R Lurvey (Bar Harbor) and Delia Amazeen (Dexter). He is survived by five children, a stepson, and their families. His sons, Edwin and wife April, Steven and wife, Pam, David and his daughter, Meghan, as well as his daughters, Lorraine and Ellen and her husband, Paul DiScipio with daughters, Katherine and Julia, and his stepson, Brian Faulkner and wife, Jody with children, Trevor, Rachel, and Keith. He is also survived by his sister, Sheryl, and many nieces and nephews including Frank Lurvey and Elaine Langer. Francis was predeceased by his twin brother, Frank, as well as his brothers, Edwin and Erwin. He was also predeceased by his longtime companion, Brian and Edwin’s mother, Maureen Faulkner and former wife, Roberta Lurvey Gilmore.
