Doris V. Welch, 79, died on January 12, 2012 at the Rockingham County Nursing Home after a lengthy illness..
She was born on April 20, 1932 in Salem, NH, the daughter of the late Eugene L. .Welch and Doris (Pooler) West.. A devoted wife mother and grandmother, Doris was a longtime resident of Raymond, NH.. She was employed for many years at Lucient Technologies (formerly Western Electric) in North Andover, MA before retiring in 1982..
She was predeceased by her husband Bernard J. Welch who died in 1996 and three brothers. Doris is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. and her husband Joseph Cowan of Raymond, NH, and Susan G. and her husband Frank Beane of Raymond, NH; her son, George B. and his wife Sheila Welch of Newton, NH; four grandchildren, Joseph B. Cowan, Joshua B. Cowan, Tawnya Beane, and Shawn Welch; and one sister, Kathleen A. Barnes of Merrimack, NH.
