KINGSTON- James M. Goguen, 55, of Kingston, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home, surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Fitchburg, MA, he graduated from Fitchburg Vocational High School in 1971, and was employed at Beckwood Services, Inc. in Plaistow.
He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed boating and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Anderson) Goguen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Katrina M. and Jeffrey Smith of Barrington, and Mindy L. and David Follett of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Jaden and Skylar Follett; two sisters, Pamela Reilly of Fitchburg, MA., and Cheryl Jones of Westminster, MA; a brother Shawn Goguen of Worcester, MA; a sister-in-law, Karen Goguen of Fitchburg, MA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Goguen.
His funeral service was held on May 10 at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Memorial donations may be made to Rockingham VNA and Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
Lou-Anne Auricchio
PUNTA GORDA, FL – Lou-Anne Auricchio, 51 of Punta Gorda and formerly of Haverhill and Lawrence, MA, died April 28, 2008 after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Lawton, OK, daughter of Annette (Lalumiere) Auricchio of East Hampstead and Louis Auricchio of Danville, she moved to Haverhill as a child and attended St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1974. She worked as a paralegal for local attorneys and law firms and was most recently employed as a secretary at the Punta Gorda Yacht Club.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by brothers, Stephen Auricchio of Amesbury, MA, and David Auricchio and his wife Patricia of South Carolina, a sister Nancy Festo of Kensington, her companion Larry Marshall of Punta Gorda and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins
Funeral service will be held in Punta Gorda, with local arrangements at the convenience of the family and under the direction of Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Ann L (Fiore) Macfarlane
PLAISTOW – Ann L (Fiore) Macfarlane, 61, a longtime resident of Plaistow, died May 3, 2008 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, following a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Marco and Marian (Pagani) Fiore, she moved to Plaistow as a child and attended the Pollard School. She was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1964, and also attended Plymouth State College.
Ms. Macfarlane recently retired from the Internal Revenue Service after thirty-three years as a tax examiner and was a recipient of the Gallatin Award for exemplary service to the U.S.Government.
A former resident of Shady Lane, she was a member of Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. She was also a local environmental advocate and also enjoyed line dancing workshops, traveling, crocheting and Broadway plays.
She is survived by a daughter Amy L. MacFarlane and her fiancé John Marchesano of Watertown, MA, a brother Anthony “Tony” Fiore of Candia, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral service was held on May 7 at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home in Plaistow with a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Angels Church in Plaistow. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery. Diane M. (David) Kinney
ATKINSON – Diane M. (David) Kinney, 69, of Atkinson, died May 1, 2008 at her home following a long illness.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Edmund and M. Irene (Dufour) David, she attended the Smiley School, Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the St. James High School class of 1956.
After attending the State of New Hampshire Police Academy, Mrs. Kinney became the first female police officer in the state and has served on the Atkinson Police Department for the past 35 years. She was also the first woman constable and longest serving constable in the town.
In addition to her service as a sergeant for the police department, Mrs. Kinney has also served as a member of the Budget Committee, as a member of the fence viewing commission and as the former animal control officer.
An avid Red Sox fan and past president of the Fire Department Women’s Auxilliary, Mrs. Kinney also enjoyed playing tennis at Cedardale Health and Athletic Club, gardening, and tending to her animals.
The wife of the late William C. Kinney, she is survived by sons, William C. Kinney, Jr. and his wife Anne, and Scott E. Kinney, all of Newmarket, four daughters and their husbands, Karen M. and Randy LaPalme of Atkinson, Sheryl A. and Peter Bisognano of Atkinson, Joan T. and Col. Scott Heckman of Springfield,VA, and Beth D. Kinney and her companion Eric Scammon of Kennebunk,ME, a sister Joan T. Lewis of Haverhill , six grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Edmund, Raymond, and William David.
