In 2008, the Kathleen Schusler Fund for Nursing Education and Development was established in honor of Kathy, who was a Nursing Manager and worked for Exeter Hospital for over 20 years. Kathy passed away from cancer in January, 2008, and since then the fund in her name has helped provide financial support for educational programs, tuition, conferences, and other pursuits to advance education and professional development of nurses at the hospital and other organizations within Exeter Health Resources.
