RHS Alumni Raise $7k+

— RAYMOND — The 10th annual Raymond High School (RHS) Alumni Association golf outing was held June 26 at Candia Woods.  

The winning team with a low gross of 64 was awarded to Bud Dodge, David Fahey, Scott Ross, andDon Moulton. There was a three-way tie for low net at 61.  First low net was the team of Dan Stewart, Brent Norris, Matt Larochelle, and Jason Larochelle. Second low net was the team of Jay Long, Dan LeGallo, Gary Knowlton, and Glenn Gosselin. Third low was the team of John Porter, Dave Hall, Mike McIntosh, and John Machell. Fourth low net, with a 62, was awarded to Dan Dingman, Ken Brosnahan, Chris Derzanski, and Nadine McDonald.    

Special prizes were also awarded: Longest Drive, Hole #10 for Senior Men to Dave Taylor; Longest Drive for Men under 60 to Gary Knowlton; and Longest Drive for Ladies to Karen Scanlon. Nearest to Pin on hole #5 was Ed Daniels.  There were two winners for straightest drive on Hole #3: Dave Taylor and Llyn Dube. Tying for first place in the putting contest were Scott Ross and Mike McIntosh.

The event’s Gold Donors were Walmart Distribution Center and I. C. Reed & Sons of Raymond. Silver Donor sponsor was JCR Construction of Raymond. Argo Cycles & Autos of Raymond was the event’s Bronze Donor again this year.

Morning coffee and doughnuts were served during team registration for the tenth consecutive year compliments of Dunkin Donuts of Raymond.

Class sponsorships were received from:  Class of 1957, 1966 and 1968; Girls in Class of 1970. Sponsorships were received from the following families:  Bailey, Houle, Mandile, Ornell, and Waterhouse.   Memorial sponsorships were received for Deceased Members in Classes of 1950 and 51, 1965, 1970. Also for Quintal Family,  Robert Rollins ’50, Bruce Clark ’64, Scott Griffin ’82,  John F. Waterhouse, Bob and Vivian Cammett, Donna Hammond Wason, the Cote Twins, Romie and Bessie Levesque, Leo Plante, Martha and Austin Ingalls, Irene and Don Smith, Jean and John Fernald.

The big winner of the day was the RHS Alumni Scholarship Fund that realized just over $7,900 from the event.  Thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the outing.
