Representatives from Exeter Health Resources and Seacoast United Sports Club gathered to mark a dynamic new partnership. Through this relationship, Exeter Health Resources will provide the local soccer and sports club organization with specialized sports medicine physicians, dedicated strength training, rehabilitation therapy and a variety of information and education forums on health and wellness. Sports medicine professionals from Core Orthopedics will work to educate coaches, parents and players about the rapid increase in youth sports injuries, the necessary steps to help reverse the trend and the need to keep young athletes healthy. Physical therapists from Exeter Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services will help the players, parents and coaches at Seacoast United learn a series of dynamic warm up exercises that are designed to decrease the risk of injury. Exeter Health Resources is made up of five operating affiliates including: Exeter Hospital, Core Physicians, Exeter Healthcare, Rockingham Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice and Synergy Health & Fitness Center. Each of the operating affiliates are committed to providing health care services that are innovative, progressive and focused on quality and the well-being of the communities in the greater New Hampshire Seacoast. Seacoast United Sports Club was originally founded in 1992 with the simple mission to advance the physical and social well-being of children and adults through competitive soccer. Since then, the Club has expanded to field teams in the sports of field hockey, lacrosse, and baseball. Seacoast United operates indoor facilities located in Hampton and Kingston, and York and Topsham, ME, as well as its Outdoor Complex located in Epping.
