BRENTWOOD —Thank you to everyone who ventured out on a rainy night to attend our program with Josh Judge. It was a fantastic night learning about broadcasting, meteorology, and weather. The bonus was hearing Josh read his book while his daughter turned the pages and showed pictures. And in the season of giving thanks, it is wonderful to know that proceeds are to benefit CHaD. If you missed the program, we have two signed copies of his children's book, as well as a signed copy of his book, “Extreme New England Weather” for you to borrow from the library.
December is shaping up to be a busy month at the library. Here is a sampling of what is happening:
There is still room in the Intermediate Line Dancing class! Classes run six-weeks and start Wed., December 6 from 4:15-5:00 p.m. If you are interested, contact the library, 603-642-3355.
Our local resident Bob Glowacky will be joining us Thurs., December 7 from 7:00-8:30 to present his program on "Storytelling and Travel Through Film and Photography." Bob received his Master's degree in Wildlife Filmmaking in England and will be here to share his travels and passions. His program will feature photo presentations and various films, including his Master's thesis, “Bringing Back Brodrik”, a tale of the Slovak Cuvac livestock guardian dog.
Word around the stacks is that Santa is coming Sat., December 9 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. This is always an exciting event hosted by our Friends. Be sure to mark your calendars and come enjoy the fun.
The Peace & Justice Group will continue its film series on the following dates: Mon., December 4 at 6:00 p.m. and Mon., December 18 at 6:00 p.m. Movies TBD. If you have not attended one of these films, please consider joining us. They are non-partisan films that are informative and educational and always spark interesting discussions and commentaries.
As always, please check our website and FB pages for updates. Hope to see you soon at the library.
