If you, like I, are concerned about the fiscal house of the state, April revenue figures just came out and are great. Latest figures I got, with a day to go, the revenues are up a phenomenal $41.8M for the month. This will put the budget year to date at about 16% more than anticipated. Revenues were down $14M prior to April, so we should now be about $30M over what was expected for current budget, putting a bite in the Governor’s plan to raid the special dedicated funds, and also her need for a casino to fill her $80M revenue hole. This should also aid those of us that are fighting to kill SB-152, the casino bill.
