Then we start off the very next week with the Canadian authorities announcing that after an investigation which started last August, they have made two arrests, foiling a major terrorist plot, thwarting a plan to blow up a Canadian railroad bridge, as a Toronto to New York City commuter train would be crossing over it. The authorities said that during this long investigation, the public was never in any danger, but the men had the capacity and intent to carry out the mission. They pointed out that these two arrested were older men, not the normal youth radicals, that wanted to make a “big statement”. This plot was an Al-Qaeda supported attack, conspiring with people in Iran, but is believed to not be related to the Boston event.
With all this wrenching news, I feel more is coming over the summer and fall. Where do we go from here? May I humbly suggest church. Please pray for all those killed, injured, and their families.
And just as I’m about to hit send, sending this article to the CTN, I hear a news flash that there was a car bombing in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, at the French Embassy, wounding two French guards.
