My Opinion: September 13, 2012

RAYMOND – State House news has been very quite the past couple weeks as everyone was busy working on the Primary Election. Things are getting busy again now that the election is over.

Stay tuned for news as to what we are doing this fall.

As we move through September starting to do our: fall yard work, repairs and upgrades to our homes, and preparing for the long winter ahead, it’s time to really get out and support all our small businesses.

With the economy still very poor, and many unemployed, our locally owned small businesses have been struggling to survive.

So how can we help them? As you do your various tasks, I ask you to please consider spending that extra buck or two and buy your needed material from our neighbors and friends, the local small businessman.

The local small nurseries have really suffered with this crazy summer we had, and really need our help to survive. This year would be a good time to plant those perennial shrubs and trees that you have been thinking about, that would beautify your yard and provide future shade, by getting them now at a good sale price, and helping the nurseries clear out their over stock.

See you working in the yard.
