RAYMOND —Here at last!. The new "Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery/Marketplace" has opened the butchery and marketplace, as of March 14, in the old Yankee Market location, on Rte 27, in Raymond. The tavern portion of the new small business will be opening in early summer, which will have a 40 stool bar and pub area that will hold almost 200 total. A group of small business people are the new owners, and Bobby Marcotte is the new business manager. Until the tavern/pub portion opens, the business hours are 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. Mr. Marcotte told me they are excited about coming into Raymond, and look forward to getting involved in the community.
They make all homemade, on site: dips, soups, salads, sandwiches, meatballs, sausage, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, and cooked meals. All their ground meats are cut in-house, and all the marinated meats are done in-house. The market includes: all natural products, fresh fruits and vegetables, Boars Head Deli products, all certified angus beef meats, buffalo and lamb.
Trust me the buffalo tips and beef tips are great, very tender. I tried them both already. Just cut them down the about 1-1/2"sq, spray Pam in your skillet, lay meat single layer. Sprinkle with Jack Daniels and Spicy Montreal Steak seasoning. Put heat on hi, cook five-minutes each side and enjoy.
Please join me in welcoming our new Raymond small business by stopping in and giving them a try. I'm sure you will be glad you did.
Continuing on with the passed bills from the 3/7-8 House Session:
HB-1246 - permitting resident application for pistol or revolver licenses to be submitted to the state police or the sheriff's department. This bill would allow concealed carry license applications to go to the state police or the county sheriff in addition to their local police. OTP RC 183-120.
