Cemetery Lawn Project

Carriage Towne News

---- — NEWTON – The previously announced lawn restoration project at Willow Grove Cemetery began on September 17. The cemetery has been closed to all vehicular and pedestrian entry until further notice.

When the seeding is completed, several pieces of mechanical irrigation equipment will be placed in the cemetery for several weeks. It is important that the new seedlings not be disturbed to give them every opportunity to germinate.

No memorials, flowers or decorations will be allowed in the cemetery until the spring of 2013. Also, future placement of memorials, flowers etc., will be in strict accordance with cemetery regulations. Veteran flags have also been removed and will be replaced in the spring.

Thank you for your support of the Trustees’ attempt to improve the appearance of Willow Grove Cemetery and the World War II Memorial located there.
