NH Band Festival

PLAISTOW - A “win-win opportunity” is how Tony Dibartolomeo, Timberlane’s Music Director and Conductor of the Timberlane Community Band, characterized the upcoming New Hampshire Festival of Bands. This musical collaboration, scheduled for Sun., February 17, will take place at the Timberlane Performing Arts Center, Greenough Road, Plaistow, NH., and will feature the Rockingham Wind Symphony and performances by the Timberlane, Chelmsford and Windham Community Bands.

“Not only do we have the opportunity to provide our community with entertaining and high quality musical productions,” offered Mr. Dibartolomeo, “we also have a world class venue to showcase our talented musicians.” In addition, he envisions this festival as an expanding,annual event where audiences can experience a wide range of musical groups, and as a unique opportunity for area community bands to forge successful bonds and partnerships with one another.

Timberlane Community Band will be performing at 1:00 p.m., Chelmsford at 2:00 p.m., Windham at 3:00 p.m., and the Rockingham Wind Symphony at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00, with a reduced rate of $5.00 for seniors and students. Advanced tickets may be purchased by calling the PAC ticket office at 603.357.5257, online at www.timberlanepac.org or may be purchased at the door.

    Ft. Gibson, OK — Catherine F. "Kitty" (Clements) Brown passed away February 17, 2013, at her home in Ft. Gibson, Okla., after a brave battle with cancer. Kitty was born in Brentwood, N.H., on April 21, 1946, to the late Chester H. Clements and Catherine F. (Morse) Clements. She was raised in Kingston, N.H., and graduated from Sanborn Seminary. She lived for many years on Plum Island, Mass. While living on Plum Island, she was a columnist and photographer for The Daily News of Newburyport, as well as a school bus driver.

  • Ted "Teddy" Bolduc

    Fremont, N.H. — Ted “Teddy” Burleigh Bolduc, was born the youngest son of Phyllis and Joseph Bolduc Sr., on May 22, 1962. He died suddenly April 8, 2013, after a brief illness. Ted lived for most of his life in Fremont and Raymond. He was well known for his skills with heavy equipment and worked all his life in construction and excavation in the Fremont and Epping area. In addition to his work, he loved ice hockey, baseball, hunting, country music, and animals, especially his dog Finlay. He was very proud of, and also loved by, his very large family.
