Perennials Need Help?

SANDOWN — If your perennials are not performing as you would like, it’s probably time to divide them. This is hard work and the Sandown Garden Club would like to help you with this project.

The Club is planning its annual Plant Sale to be held on Sat., June 1.

As last year, Club members will go to your home and divide those established perennials to sell at their sale. This will not only help your garden, but proceeds from this plant sale are used by the Club for various town projects.

At last year’s sale, the Club had over 1000 plants for sale – perennials and herbs, as well as bushes such as forsythia, lilacs and raspberries.

If you would like to give your perennials a fresh start this year, please call Fran Rosenau at 887-5131. She will schedule a time (at your convenience) to divide those perennials that need a little help this Spring. Please call early to schedule a dig in your garden before the Club’s plant quota is reached.

The Sandown Garden Club is a member of the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc. For more information, please visit sandowngardenclub.org.
