Historical Society Thanksgiving
DANVILLE – On Wednesday evening, November 25, starting at 7:00 p.m., a special Thanksgiving celebration will be hosted by the Village Improvement Society and Old Red Schoolhouse Historical Society of North Danville and the Union Religious Society. The public is cordially invited to enjoy this annual festivity that kicks off the holiday season. At 7:00 p.m., the 1850 Union Church will open its doors to visitors who will experience the historic past of this old building that remains as it was first built. There is light by kerosene lamps and a large chandelier that hangs proudly, warm heat provided by two old wood stoves on each side of the building, music heard from the huge pipe organ, and the many decorative gifts of furniture, a Bible, the flags, and the eight day clock. The pews were purchased by the families whose houses still stand today in “North Danville”. After the church service, all visitors are invited to walk over to the 1895 White Schoolhouse for refreshments and a chance to see some of the local historical artifacts that tell the silent story of early education and life over 100 years ago in this once industrious farming community. The faces of the children who attended this one room schoolhouse can be seen in a photograph as they sit anxiously on the front steps of the entrance to the school. Please come to this special evening provided by the Historical Society of North Danville and the Union Religious Society. It is perfect for family and friends to start making new memories as this year comes to an end. The Church and the School are located on Beach Plain Road in Danville. Rockingham Craftsmen Disband

The Rockingham Craftsmen, a non-profit organization, founded in 1966, has recently disbanded after forty-three years.

They donated the remaining funds in their treasury to the NH Food Bank. This gift of $3,200 was presented to Lisa Merrill-Burzak by Rockingham Craftsmen members Steve Brogan and Reid Bunker. -

Volunteers Needed for Relay Race
KINGSTON- The Bakie PTA will once again support the Reach the Beach Relay Race. The race starts in Bretton Woods and ends at the Hampton Beach State Park. The D.J. Bakie Elementary School will be a transition station for a third year. This station will provide food, drinks and rest for the relay teams.
