Holiday Food Drive

EXETER - The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club will be conducting a Holiday Food Drive benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 5 through 7, 5:00-8:00 p.m., at the Exeter Bandstand. Non perishable food items and paper goods are needed to help the less fortunate in the community.

The Kiwanis Float will collect during the Annual Holiday Parade on Sat., December 7.

Bill Smith, president of the local Kiwanis, said, “Food pantries across the country are struggling this holiday season to meet the increased demand. The Exeter Kiwanis want to be sure that St. Vincent de Paul can help all of the people in our area who need food. The weekend celebration is a great time for all of us to chip in and help.”

St. Vincent de Paul’s Community Assistance Center is located at 53 Lincoln Street, Exeter. There they operate a food pantry Monday through Friday and a variety of programs for those in need including emergency assistance, employment help, and job training. Staffed by volunteers in the most recent 12 months, the Food Pantry has distributed over 26,000 bags of food to 3,000 households in our service area.
