Carriage Towne News

---- — PORTSMOUTH - Sounds of the Seacoast Women’s Barbershop A Cappella Chorus will host their 5th annual Holly Jolly Christmas Cabaret at the Jarvis Center, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on Sun., December 8, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The chorus will perform a number of seasonal favorites, gospel tunes and standards – all in 4-part a cappella harmony. The doors will open at 3:00 p.m., for social time, complimentary snacks and beverages, raffles, and a cash bar. And there will even be surprises for the kids.

Sounds of the Seacoast recently returned from Windsor, Ontario, having placed third in Harmony, Incorporated’s International Chorus Contest – an annual event that brings together barbershop choruses and quartets from throughout the United States and Canada.

The chorus members ask that all who attend the cabaret bring a non-perishable food or other appropriate item for baskets that will be presented to A Safe Place—a local non-profit that aids victims of domestic abuse by providing shelter and support services.

Tickets for “A Holly Jolly Cabaret” are $15.00 general seating, and $5.00 for children ages 10 and under. For tickets call 603-642-8293, email tickets@soundsoftheseacoast.org or visit www.soundsoftheseacoast.org.
