Scout Sign Up Night

Carriage Towne News

---- — NEWTON —Pack 91 of Newton invites boys in grades 1-5 to join Cub Scouts at their new member recruitment event on Wed., September 11, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Memorial Elementary School Gym. Boys and an adult are encouraged to attend to learn more and sign up in time for our exciting program.

Cub Scouts explore a variety of new interests and activities with other boys their age. Cubs meet weekly in small groups (dens) and monthly with the entire group (pack) to share experiences, activities and recognition. Boys in 1st through 5th grade are eligible and can start at any level.

Participation helps Cubs develop a sense of confidence, teamwork, responsibility and a spirit of service. Simply put Scouting is “good for life” - good for the participant with new friendships and experiences, good for the family as they work and play together, good for the life of the community through service projects and learning about being a good citizen, and good for a lifetime through learning skills and virtues that will last.

Families who are unable to attend a sign-up night or have questions should call Matt Provost, Cubmaster 603-382-0630 or Rick Bailey 603-819-9696 or Cubmaster91@comcast.net Additional information on Cub Scouts can be found by visiting www.beascout.org.

Pack 91 is part of the Yankee Clipper Council BSA, which serves over thousands of young people in Northeastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. To learn more, visit www.yccbsa.org or call the Scout Office at 978-372-0591.
