Winter Concert

HAMPSTEAD — For those music lovers who have enjoyed Hampstead’s Meetinghouse Park Summer Concert series and who can’t wait for them to start again, the Cable T.V. Advisory Committee has organized a special treat. The first winter Holiday Concert is scheduled for Thurs., December 13 at 6:00 p.m. at Hampstead Middle School.

A summertime favorite, The Don Campbell Band, will help to chase away the dreary winter blues with their special blend of holiday and country crossover music. The five-piece band is based in New England and performs more than 200 concerts a year between Maine and Nashville, TN. They have opened for such acts as Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Their music is compared to the sounds of Dan Fogelberg and Vince Gill. Don Campbell is a singer/songwriter/composer and multi-instrumentalist.

The suggested cost of admission is a contribution of food goods for St. Anne Food Pantry or an item for the Military Support Club at Hampstead Middle School, to be sent to the troops. Suggestions include hard candy, phone cards, puzzle books, Twizzlers, bags of ground Dunkin Donuts coffee and M&Ms. For further information, please call 603-329-6047.
