KINGSTON — Children (ages 7+) are invited to build a Faerie House on Fri., November 16, 3:30 p.m. at Kingston Community Library. What is a Faerie House, you ask? They are miniature, whimsical houses built from natural material found in the woods. Autumn is a perfect time to build a meadow faerie house. These structures can range from simple to elaborate to attract our faerie friends. There is only one rule: the material has to come from nature!
Some material will be supplied, but donations are still needed: plenty of twigs, branches, bark, stones, acorns, pinecones, grass cuttings, shells, feathers, any trimmings from the garden, hay, etc.
Before you begin, participants will also do some gathering in the woods outside (unless it rains). Wear good shoes and long pants!
Parental participation is suggested.
